Tissue culture tubes complement the use of flasks and can be used for a wide range of applications. In addition, tissue culture flat tubes, a combination of centrifuge tube and a tissue culture flask, feature unique advantages: the large screw cap opening allows for an ideal access for pipettes or scrapers. Centrifugation is directly possible, as the tube fits into a 50 ml standard adapter.

The corresponding tube rack accommodates eight tubes in a secure lying position, which ensures an optimum horizontal position in a CO₂ incubator. Inverted microscopes allow for visual cell control. The sloped and flattened upper side reduces back light refraction.
