Partricin (fungicide)
The polyene antimycotic Partricin A (C79H119O31N5, MW 1634.81 ) is obtained from the fermentation broths of Streptomyces aureofaciens. The hydrosoluble polyene, SPA-S-843, from Partricin A (N-dimethylaminoacetyl partricin A 2-dimethylaminoethylamide-diascorbate) shows potent activity against fungi and yeast than Amphotericin B.
