The defined serum-free medium well supports the growth of normal human keratinocytes if supplemented with EGF, Insulin, Hydrocortisone, Ethanolamine, and Phosphoethanolamine. Instead of these, Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), can serve as a general supplement. A 5 % CO₂ atmosphere is recommended.

This medium is also available as complete medium with a minimum order of 10 litres; pack sizes are 20x500 ml or 100x100 ml bottles or bags.
