Biochrom AG, Europe-wide distributor of the PERMEXCIS® cell culture medium
Biochrom AG and the Dutch company Crucell N.V. ratify the conclusion of a cooperation. According to this Biochrom AG is in charge of the production, sale and distribution of the PERMEXCIS® cell culture medium in the European Union, Switzerland, Turkey, Russia, and Israel. Financial details of this agreement were not announced. Crucell has developed and tested the PERMEXCIS® medium for the cultivation of PER.6® cells.
The PERMEXCIS® medium is a chemically defined, serum-free cell culture medium that does not contain animal or human origin components. The cell culture medium is apt to cultivate PER.C6® cells and applicable on large-scale productions of biopharmaceutical products like for example inoculants. The PERMEXCIS® medium increases the production of viral inoculants in PER.C6® cells compared to the cultivation in the previously used media.
